Are SLPI and MSLPI different?
Both assessments are used to determine the proficiency of ASL skills for communication. SLPI reports contain a level and narrative data while the MSLPI contains only narrative data. The process is similar for both assessment tools with one designed for adults and one for school-age children. All SLPI team members are trained for the SLPI adult process while the MSLPI team members have additional training to interview and rate children.
