Are Skip Seagraves and Chase Page red-shirting and coming back?
Page absolutely is. He broke a bone in his hand during preseason and is now 100 percent healthy. He played as a true freshman in 2001, so he has not used his red-shirt season. He will be back in 2005. Seagraves is a different story. He was red-shirted his first season at Carolina in 2000. He has not played in 2004, his fifth and final year of eligibility, since the Virginia game after breaking his foot the week before against William & Mary. Carolina is petitioning the NCAA for an extra year for Seagraves. John Bunting said this week there is precedent with a player at Kentucky getting a sixth year in a similar circumstance. Who is going to replace center Jason Brown? His loss will be felt more than most people realize. Three players who will certainly get an opportunity are Steven Bell, who has played some backup center this season; Arthur Smith, who has played center in practice as well as guard for two years now; and red-shirt freshman Scott Lenahan. How many freshmen will be red-sh
