Are signatures analyzed?
You designed your signature and it is your public image. Signature is not the best way to analyze character from handwriting, for several reasons. First, the signature is sometimes illegible and different from the normal handwriting. Second, the lone signature do not give enough words and letters to help the graphologist in his/her judgment. But signature samples do have certain advantage. It is easy to collect; even through long period of time. Even for public figures whom you may not have easy access of a full sample of handwriting, the signature is next best alternative. Example: Samples of signature from the corporate annual reports. It give a glimpse of what the writer aspire to be.
