Are Seventh-day Adventists required to believe in Ellen White writings prior to becoming a member?
I’m not really sure if it is a requirment. But I do know that as SDAs we believe in the Spirit of Prophecy. I also believe there is a text that says something about woe to anyone who rejects God’s prophets. 2 Chronicles 20:20 says, “Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.” The Bible is always the # 1 rule of authority. According to the above text we will do much better and prosper to follow God’s prophets. There is no doubt in my mind that EG White is a true prophet of God. Her writings come 2nd to the Bible. However every SDA should read and follow her writings. I see many SDAs who don’t follow all the teachings of the Bible and if they took the time to read the Spirit of Prophecy and apply them we would have more SDAs in tune with the Bible then with the world. I read one answerer said that all we need is the Bible. While that is true apparently for many SDAs it is not enough. I see more and more SDA becoming more worldly e
