Are Septated Ovarian Cysts Dangerous?
Septated ovarian cysts are extremely dangerous and very painful. They should be treated as soon as they are discovered. When a woman has septated ovarian cysts, her first symptom will be severe abdominal pain. Septated ovarian cysts have been categorized into three different types, Dermoid cysts, Endometrionoma cysts and Cystadenomas. Septated Dermoid ovarian cysts begin in the ovarian egg. These types of ovarian cysts are benign and not cancerous. They do however cause and extreme amount of pain. A septated Ednometrian ovarian cyst, is usually found outside of the uterus and it can cause a lot of complications for other organs so it should be removed. Septated Cystadenomas are made up of a lot of mucus and liquid. This type can grow to large sizes and cause women unbearable pain and discomfort.
