Yes, Medicare will pay for a screening colonoscopy – for patients not at high risk every ten years. The patient is responsible for any deductible and co-pay. Medicare will cover screening colonoscopies for patients at high risk of colorectal cancer once every twenty-four months. Some insurance carriers do not cover the screening service.
