Are Scottish pound notes the same as English pound notes?
Pound notes are a thing of the past, it is only pound coins now. The Bank of England print all money used in England, in Scotland the banks are allowed to print their own notes (a settlement agreed in the Treaty of Union), Both a Pound Sterling and both have the same value. All coins in circulation throughout the UK are made by the Royal Mint.
