Are schools required to invite the caseworker to the staffing? Foster parent?
ECEA rules 4.02(3) state that meetings held for the development of an initial IEP or review of the IEP shall include: • The child • The childs parents ( see definition to determine if foster parent fits here) • A regular education teacher • Director of special education or designee • Persons with authority to make building level decisions regarding service delivery • Administrative or eligible facility personnel who collectively have the following qualifications: A staff member qualified to provide or supervise instructional and or related services in the area of the childs suspected disability Persons who have information relevant to the functioning, achievement and performance of the child Persons knowledgeable about the result and meaning of the assessment information when new assessment is to be considered Persons knowledgeable about serve delivery options including out of districts options where appropriate • Other persons at the discretion of the parent or unit/facility • Represe
