Some measures that schools are known for taking are assigning detentions and suspensions. But when these punishments fail should schools be allowed to require a drug induced solution? Ritalin is a highly powerful nervous system stimulant used to calm the behavior of ADD sufferers. This stimulant has a reputation of abuse from people who are not in need of the medication. Some effects of using this medication without need are the opposite of its medical purpose. Those who abuse this drug experience hyper activity, and suppressed appetite.
