Are Sadlerstone tiles suitable for kitchen and bathroom floors?
It is important to understand the nature of concrete in wet-areas and ensure product expectations are in line with product capabilities. If you do decide to use Sadlerstone in your kitchen or bathroom, extra impregnator should be applied (Sealing and impregnators). Expectations: Water pooling and evaporation can cause marking, called “tide-marks”, which are associated with all cementious materials. With general use and maintenance, shadows from evaporated water tend to fade over time. Lighter tiles show evaporation marks less. Do not expect the tiles to have the properties of a fully glazed ceramic tile or similar impervious surface. Always clean kitchen and bathroom floors with recommended pH neutral detergents and detergents supplied by the sealer manufacturer (never bleaches or polysolvents). Clean up spillages of foods, cosmetics etc promptly. Sadlerstone becomes more resilient as it ages and water shadows will fade over time. Follow cleaning procedures in Sadlerstone technical lit
