Are romeo and juliet pathetic or tragic heroes?

Depending on the way you look at Shakespeare’s view of tragic love, they could either by martyrs or a couple of emos. It really depends. In my ninth form, we read Romeo and Juliet. Half the class loved it, the rest of them hated it. It’s really all in perspective. Overall, though, it’s how deep you take it. It could go either way. I think, however, that the majority of its readers/viewers consider them to be tragic heroes, since Romeo and Juliet is considered one of the most renowned and brilliant works of tragedy in history. Hope it helps…sorry that was so terribly vague, ha.
