Are ROmanian AK-47s GOOD ?
The Romanian AK’s are what I would consider the lower end of the AK scale. That being said, it’s really pretty fun little rifle to shoot and own. They are generally one of the least expensive AK’s to buy and I definitely would not try to dissuade you from buying one. I own an a Arsenal SA-M7 and this is what I consider to be the Rolls Royce of AK’s available in the states. The fit & finish of the rifle is incredible for any rifle let alone an AK. A used one will probably set you back about $1500. It’s also one of the few AK’s you can find with a milled receiver. The vast majority of the AK’s out there have the stamped receivers. I also own a WASR 10 and an AMD 65. The accuracy of the two are about the same ( about 6 MOA w/ Wolf Performance ammo). The Arsenal is slightly better at 3-4 MOA. I assume what you are looking is the WASR’s. While the fit and finish is pretty poor, they still are one heck of a fun rifle. And if you’ve got about $550 to spend, I think you will be hard pressed to
