Are RISD staff and students trained in CPR?

0

Selected district staff members are required to maintain current certification in CPR. In addition to school nurses, CPR training is required of all coaches, cheerleader & drill team sponsors, and other selected sponsors of activities. In addition, RISD maintains Automated External Defibrillators in all buildings, with corresponding staff training, and AEDs are available at all athletic events. It is the responsibility of the Athletic Director and Director of Health Services to ensure appropriate staff members complete the necessary training. Nurses offer CPR training classes at the campus level for any additional staff or students who wish to become certified.
