Are rice krispies suitable for an 8 and 1/2 months old?

i tried it with my daughter at about 11months and she just choked, weetabix, readybrek, porridge are all great, you can add loadsa different stuff to them aswell, mashed banana, smoothies made with milk instead of milk, little bit of cocoa powder, cut up dried fruit, you could proberly try adding a few rice crispies into wet weetabix – would make it easier to chew. freya had finger foods from 5months – banana, carrot, brocoli, rusks etc but its the smaller things they have trouble with. of course you could always try it, i would suggest making sure you add plenty of milk so theyre all soggy and not crispie – if you never try you will never know…..
