Are rheumatologists beginning to be trained in pain management?

Other than taking a couple of pain management electives during your fellowship, I haven’t come across any rheumatology fellows who are being trained in pain. I send all my chronic pain patients to a pain management specialist. I honestly don’t come across too many chronic pain patients in my practice. Most have a good reason for pain and I usually find it and fix it. The few chronic pain patients I have are usually chronic osteoarthritis patients.
