Are Republicans against the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act?

I vote democrat and consider myself a moderate liberal, but from what I know of this bill I’m not too pleased with it. I am very concerned about the opening up of the statute of limitations. I fully support equal pay for the same job–a female finish carpenter working on the same job as a male finish carpenter should make the same money. I am concerned, but don’t know if this bill has the equal pay for similar skilled jobs that so many have advocated. If it does, the litigation and damper on business will make the bill a disaster rather than a relief from unfair treatment.
