Are republican governors who turn down stimulus money unpatriotic?

No, and it is this notion that is dividing this country. The same man that is backing this stimulus money may well nationalize even more banks, and that is socialism. America is what it is because of capitalism. America will cease to be great by embracing socialism. Problems cannot be great if they were not once small.

Actually, It’s more like being very patriotic. All of the governors clamoring around with their hands out grabbing for that “stimulus” money is being bought by the Three Stooges, (Obama, Pelosi, Reid). Some governors really see what is going on and they’re not going to be bought. Welcome to the new USSR, the United States Socialist Republic.

No. Unpatriotic is just a dumb term. By that logic, if I turn down money, I hate America. Makes DEFINITE sense. Honestly, if a governor thinks that they can solve their problems without the help of fed money, all the power to them. It creates an example of how republicans can do things right if it works, and wrong if it doesn’t. Either way, it fuels the political agenda.

If their constituents back their decision they are doing their job. Either way it is not unpatriotic.

I notice the republican governors that turn down money only where it applies to jobless benefits and that is in states that have “right to work” laws. Laws that discourage unions because unions make workers part of the decision making process. Today’s republicans are essentially fascists and fascists believe that common people should be loyal workers and follow management’s orders. The jobless benefits come with worker’s rights changes, unacceptable to republican regimes. About 40% of the stimulus package benefits republican states. Republican senators think they have the best of both worlds. They voted against the package and benefit from it at the same time.
