Are reproductions an infringement on copyright?

0

Reproductions are perfectly legal to own. Some paintings however may be subject to copyright. A general rule is that the artist must have been deceased for at least 70 years (Europe) or 50 years (America). If the artist is alive or has not been departed for these periods of time permission must be sought either from the artist, the estate or with consent from the current owner of the piece. Art Stricken can facilitate this process if necessary.
