Are replacement windows a good first step to improving my home’s energy efficiency?
While replacement windows generally do increase the efficiency of a building, they are not always the most cost-effective improvement to make first. Often other factors, such as an uninsulated or under-insulated attic or basement can be a much more important area to focus on, and it is not unusual that we would recommend such improvements before suggesting replacement windows.
