Are registration renewal fees increasing as well?
Renewal fees are not increasing; however, registration application fees for new dealer applicants will increase to $500 for one year, and registration application fees for new salespersons will increase to $250 for two years. These one-time increases reflect the actual costs to OMVIC to conduct criminal record and other checks on new applicants. Salespersons seeking reinstatement after a six-month period of expiry will be subject to the new registration application fee. The increased fee applies only for the initial application.
