Are red, black, and silver bad color combinations?
Silver is a nice choice with red and black because the cool tone and close range in shade to the color white gives the most contrast to the black color. If you have more of an orange-red color (vs a cool toned red with more blue undertones) the yellow undertones work nicely with gold. Be careful not to have too much gold with the red and black because it may tend to look more like the 80’s decor that we finally got rid of in most houses. Depending on how much you have going on with the rest of the room, I think the painted bamboo is a great idea. If your theme is Asian, Make sure to keep clean lines and minimalistic decor to follow the theme more accurately.
