They are closely related but they aren’t the same species. Ravens are bigger and have a different shaped beak-more powerful looking.

Im not really an expert at this sort of thing birds that is but the reason i’m answering you is I am sure Ravens are much bigger than crows, their feathers are deep dark and glossy whereas a crows feathers are dull also the beak is different the raven has a much larger beak than the crow, also it is not as common as a crow, you have more chance of seeing a crow than a raven
