Are Raisins Seedless?
Q. Are raisins seedless or do they contain seeds? A. California raisins, both the sun-dried dark naturals and the goldens, are made by drying Thompson Seedless Grapes. These do not contain seeds. The label on packages of both of these will read Ingredients: California Seedless Raisins and will assure you that there are no seeds in them. Another variety of seedless grape, the Black Corinth, is also sun dried to produce Zante Currants, a mini raisin that is much darker in color and has a tart tangy flavor.
