Are rabbit toys necessary?

0

While rabbits are not of the same level of intelligence as cats or dogs, they definitely still suffer from boredom and behavioural problems if not occupied sufficiently. Rabbit toys are simple and don’t even really need to be bought – you can make them at home. Simple things like empty toilet rolls, pine cones, empty, small plastic containers to push and throw, small boxes to jump in, on and chew on, old books [for tearing up, not reading 🙂 ], plastic balls to push around and just about any other thing you can think of that isn’t dangerous to their health are fine toys for rabbits. Even hay is often played with when it’s not being chewed. Rabbits also love cat tunnels (cheap to buy from the pet store) to run through. Experiment – it’s fun to watch a rabbit playing.
