The Provider should apply for an exception to policy and include how they will modify their staff training plan for seasonal staff to insure they get the specific training pertaining to the child’s needs. Q: We have been operating under RTS requirements, and now want to check whether our initial and on-going training plan meets waiver requirements. We are providing therapy services. A: In order to provide in-home family therapy under the CMH Waiver, you must be in compliance with RTS standards for therapy and counseling. If you are following the required training standards for RTS, you are meeting the CMH Waiver standards. There are, however, specific requirements for initial training to provide CMH waiver – contact your specialist if you have questions.
