If women choose to look up to silicon-chested air-heads like Flakie Price then it’s no wonder that their idea of Shakespeare is a man who made a pop record called “Insania” with a straight face Seriously though, our whole culture has been debased by reality TV shows that elevate ordinary people to the status of celebrities and that lead to the national embarrassment that, in a country in which women made huge personal sacrifices in order to win the right to vote for women, and in a world in which millions of people risk their lives by voting, more people in Britain vote for their favourite X Factor karaoke singer than vote for who makes the decisions that affect their everyday lives But it’s Christmas so go Jedward!
