Are professional athletes overpaid?
~~I don’t know the statistic of the nation wide average household income, especially after this last year. Athletes and the movie and the entertainment industries seem to make an exorbitant amount of money. However, not just everyone can do their jobs, therefore they are highly paid. Athletes I understand a little more. They only have a small window of time to make money, due to the aging body. They end up with many lifelong, painful injuries, and pretty much dedicate every moment of their lives to their sport. They do work hard. I really don’t see how lowering the salaries could help the economy. They spend and employ so many people, it could actually hurt the economy. We just need to have jobs in this country (not overseas) so we all have an opportunity to make allot of money. We also need to remove and imprison corrupt government officials and CEO’s who have put the majority of us in dire straights.
