Are products that contain parabens damaging to African American hair?
• I have used products containing these ingredients for years and I haven’t had any issues with these particular ingredients which are preservatives to prevent growth of bacteria and fungi in cosmetic products which can become a more serious issue. Most products that use these ingredients use very little of this ingredient anyways, so the “so-called” damage is next to none.
