No, unlike other programs administered by the Board of Public Utilities, RECs and SRECs do not carry a requirement to pay Prevailing Wage, provided the installation is not “public works”, as defined in the NJ Prevailing Wage Act (i.e. work performed on property owned by a public body, etc), or being done under contract with a utility company.
