Are Presidential Term Limits “Ethical”?

Are Presidential Term limits ethical? When it’s working why break it? Note: I am not speaking to any one party, nor one presidency… so don’t read between the lines of this a-political question. Hey… I found myself answering a Q tonight that brought up my own questions regarding ethical standards in light of term limits. I know the history re: term limits and why/when they were instituted. But still… do we agree with Presidential term limits (8 year max) in the 21st Century? If something is working for the majority after 4 or 8 or 12 or 16 years… why on earth would we systemically ‘stop it’? No doubt many will come up with sound reasons ‘why’. So lay it on me (and “us”)… I think the question is worth asking. No doubt it has been raised here already — yet I would love to hear your thoughts on the matter.
