Are present UK divorce laws making people scared to marry?
Yes. It’s scaring me off marriage. I hate the thought of a woman getting the law to take away my belongings and leave me in poverty. It happens to thousands of men every year. The suicide rate for men after divorce is high. English law even makes ex husbands legally responsible for the welfare of children fathered by other men through a woman’s adultery. Marriage and divorce seem to be designed for the benefit of women only. I mean seriously how does marriage benefit a man? It’s a fair question.
