Are Pre Pay Phones from Carphone Warehouse/e2save SIM FREE?
They are SIM free,I bought two Sony Ericsson’s both different models, but both on Orange, one for myself and one for my girlfriend.Mine accepted all SIM’s,my girlfriends accepted all but the ‘3’ SIM.When you buy the phone, pay by credit/debit card then they put on £10 credit(£20 if you pay cash),they then activate phone with the network SIM you chose to go with, registering the credit also. What you can do then is when you register the phone to yourself(if you want to keep old no.)ask them this, and also transfer any existing credit to new no.I think it takes at least 24hrs for them to sort out phone no. change.Dont forget they will need any passwords/pin numbers etc from when you registered the old SIM,for security purposes for no. change and credit transfer. It is best to keep your new SIM because this will be more uptodate with your new phone(any services or applications, your old SIM wont work in new phone). This is what I did,and it is cheaper than buying it without a network SIM card.
