Are pre-existing conditions covered through Brooklyn HealthWorks?
There is a twelve-month waiting period for benefits for any condition, disease or symptom for which medical treatment or advice was recommended or received within the six-month period prior to the enrollment date. There will be no coverage for pre-existing conditions during this waiting period. This waiting period will be reduced to the extent that you are entitled to a credit for coverage under a previous health plan and did not have a lapse in coverage of 63 days or more.
