Are poster tubes acid-free?
Well, they can be but they are usually not. Most tubes used to deliver Jazzfest, Crescent City Classic, etc. posters are not acid free. In fact, they are quite often very high in acid content. Posters should not be stored for prolonged time in tubes. So get them out from under your bed and do something with them! My 1978 Strawberry Festival poster has brown spots on it.
