Are political parties archaic?

0

Modern politics is the only science that has hardly advanced at all since it’s creation. Ancient Athens in about 500 B.C. is often used as the point of origin of “large scale” state democracy. Most people believe that the several forms of democracy that exist currently in the world are the “apex” of political advancement. Aside from the absurd degree of arrogance in that statement, it is also useful to point out that technology from other sciences notwithstanding, the basic concepts of democracy for instance haven’t really changed a lot in over 2,500 years. This leads me to the conclusion that either politics itself really isn’t a “true” science, or that we have not been very successful in researching or seeking “discovery” within the boundaries of the alleged science. In the ancient world we believed the world was flat. I think that modern politics stands as an example of a science that still believes that the world is “politically” flat, so to speak.
