Are PIs allowed to use spy equipment and devices?
There are legitimate uses, but ultimately it is up to the PI to determine the laws that are applicable to the country or state. Buying spy devices are legal, but what you use it for might not be. If you need to do surveillance, you are probably going to need some spy gear or surveillance equipment and the spy equipment guide will provide more information.
