Yes, Part 42 provides the pilot’s obligations in terms of the recording, performance and certification of the maintenance they perform Pilot maintenance for aircraft operated under an AOC is limited to 5 items which are listed in the Part 42 MOS. This maintenance includes items such as replacement of bulbs and lights, routine replenishments, minor MEL items and pre-flights. To perform these tasks the pilot must be trained and must be authorised by the CAMO.
