Phoenicians are ancient Arabs according to many authentic references, they immigrated from “Al-Bahrain” region located in the north eastern part of the Arabian peninsula, this region extends from Kuwait all the way down to include parts of the Eastern region of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. historically speaking phenociens were enemies of Israelite, in their holy book there is a reference ” now go and strike Amalek – Amalek is a Phoenician king ,in Arabic Amalek meaning the giant- and utterly destroy all that he has, and do not spare him, but put to death both man and woman, infant and suckling ,ox and sheep, camel and ***”. 1Samuel 15:3 . they are Canaanites it is the Greek who gave the name (Xinnoeph), in Arabic relevant literature Phoenicians are refered to as Canaanites.
