Pharmacists who are trained as supplementary prescribers may issue private prescriptions for any medicines covered by a patient’s clinical management plan. In the future, pharmacist independent prescribers will be able to prescribe any licensed medicine privately, for any medical condition within their competence, with the exception of Controlled Drugs.
