Are petite women less likely to get a good/high paying job/career?
I read an article about this last year. I had a link to it saved in my favorites, but my favorites links went AWOL when I had to have my CPU repaired. Fortunately, I have a partial list of what was on it jotted down on some note cards. The article, which was a study published in some professional journal, was all about physical traits and how they impact a person’s prospects for employment. It was both depressing and infuriating. Basically, right now in the US, a woman and a man with exactly the same education (all the same courses and all the same grades at the same university) and experience make a significantly different salary, with the woman’s typically being only 70% to 80% of the man’s salary. (And it’s usually at the low end of that range, or even lower.)
