Are people who are allergic to cats and dogs allergic to hamsters??
You’re gonna have to try it out and see. I’m not allergic to any animal except for rabbits, but only when they scratch me or bite. So it all depends on the person really. Hamsters are relatively easier to take care of, then say, a dog or cat. But you do need to do your research and find out all you can about keeping them happy and safe. I’d suggest maybe going down to a pet store, or even a shelter that takes hamsters, and ask to hold one of them for a while, just to see if you have an allergic reaction or not.
