Are People Starting to Feel More Optimistic?
I am wondering if people are starting to get an inkling of optimism regarding the economy. I’d be interested to hear what people on this website have to say. Personally, I am more optimistic than I was last month. This is mainly due to what the Federal Reserve is doing rather than what Congress has done. I’m actually quite worried about the long term inflationary impact and possible tax consquences of the increased national debt. However, it looks like the Fed is going to finance purchases of “toxic” bank assets and this will go a long way towards getting our financial markets moving again. On the downside, my husband lost his job and it looks like really slim pickings in his field right now. So we are going to have to get creative and maybe start our own business. I wonder how many Americans are in this same boat. They can’t find a job, so they decide to open a business instead. This is a key to innovation so maybe on the other side of this pain we’ll see some some creative new busine
