Are People In Stage Shows Really Hypnotized?
Yes, the majority of people in hypnosis stage shows are hypnotized. The reason that they do outlandish or funny things, which maybe uncharacteristic, is generally due to the fact that stage hypnotists are excellent at selecting people who enjoy receiving attention and having fun. Although these people would never normally get on stage skip around and sing “Like a Virgin” they know that they are comfortable and safe. If these people were ever asked to do something that went completely against their better judgment they would quickly snap out of hypnosis and probably leave the stage.
