Are people happy to have wheeled bins?
Yes. Having a wheeled bin helps to increase recycling rates and keep streets cleaner. From Edinburgh to Birmingham and down to Barking and Dagenham, polls have found people overwhelmingly in favour of wheeled bins. In Edinburgh, three quarters of people thought they made streets cleaner. And in Barking and Dagenham, a pilot scheme introducing wheeled bins saw resident satisfaction with street cleanliness go up from 73% to 94%. Satisfaction with wheeled bins jumped from 65% to 91%.
