Are people eating more junk food during financial crisis or are they trying to eat healthy?

This is my opinion only from times in my life that I had been depressed or out of work. I think they will be eating more junk food for a few reasons. First when people are nervous or depressed they tend to turn to junk food as a comfort. Comfort food is one of the many ways to escape. The other reason is because of not having extra money people will be cutting corners anyway they can. Instead of real food people might turn more to junk food to save money.
