Are people allowed by law to just move out with the kids ???
No they are not allowed to just up and move out with the kids. It has to go through the courts. The courts will determine temporary custody while the divorce and going on and then determine permanent custody. This can either be one person getting full custody or both parents having joint custody. The visitation can either be spelled out to exact days and times or it can be at the discretion of the parent with the full custody. Yes the police uphold the law. However, when you see the news you aren’t going to see them report that everything went well that day, you will just see the negative events of the day. Yes kids in America have rights. They have civil rights. They only thing they are not allowed to do is enter into a contract, and work full time. In legal situations the child is usually assigned a “Guardian at lidem” that looks after the child’s best interests. I do not know why people get divorced so much.
