Are penguins on the endangered list?
There are 18 different subspecies of Penguins listed on the IUCN Red List. They range in status from “Least Concern” without a population trend listing to, “Endangered” with a population trend of “decreasing”. The US Fish and Wildlife Service Endangered Species List has eight subspecies listed, as well, in various levels of the listing process, including a listing of “Endangered”.
