Are part-time and hourly employees eligible to participate?
Yes. However, employees must receive a regular bi-weekly paycheck from the State. Employees who do not work a consistent schedule or do not earn enough money to offset their transportation costs may not be eligible for this program. Those employees working less than full-time must contact their personnel office before enrolling in NYS-Ride to confirm their eligibility. (NOTE: VRWS participants should be able to enroll without reconfirming their eligibility).
