Are parents required to attend Opening Day? If they do attend, how long should they plan to participate?

Parents are encouraged to attend Opening Day if they wish, however, attendance is not required. After dinner on campus for students and families, the students meet with their counselor and hall groups. Parents are asked to depart at this time.
