Are paper shredders really secure cuz i heard sum ppl saying it isnt?
If someone really wants to, they could get a hold of all of your paper scraps and piece them together. If you have information that you’re genuinely concerned about, shredding it should only be one step in destroying it. You should use a black marker to write over any confidential numbers or words. But to be honest, assuming your shredder doesn’t leave the shreds like half an inch wide, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about. If you’re just doing your banking or whatever, I doubt someone is going to pick your garbage, get every single piece of paper, then painstakingly piece them all together. And besides, they still wouldn’t have all of the necessary information. So no, shredding doesn’t guarantee your confidentiality, but it discourages the average person from bothering. If someone really wanted to, they could probably read what you had shredded, unless like I said, you take other means to hide information as well. I wouldn’t be that worried unless you’re dealing with highly impo
